The U.S. Department of Transportation, U.S. Maritime Administration, (MARAD), intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to, replace existing circuit breakers located at the DGO Poland Street Facility, accordance with the Attached, Statement of Work, Contract Clauses, and Invoicing Instructions. The cut-off date for questions in response to this solicitation is December 1, 2022, 10:00 am CST. The solicitation closing date is December 10, 2022, 10:00 am CST.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, “Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items,” as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued.

The Government intends to award this firm fixed price purchase order as a result of this Combined Synopsis/Solicitation. This notice is expected to result in a single award, subject to receipt of an acceptable quotation in accordance with the Instructions, Conditions and Notice to Offeror attached.

Basis For Award – Award will be made to the responsible quoter on a lowest price, technically acceptable basis. The Government intends to evaluate quotes and award a purchase order without discussions. The Government reserves the right to conduct discussions if later determined by the Contracting Officer to be necessary.

This solicitation is a request for quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and

incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2022-04 effective 1/30/2022. This is a small business set aside, the associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 335312 (Motor and Generator manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 1,200 employees. Any quote that is submitted by a contractor that is not a small business will not be considered for award.
